Visiting PhD student
My research interests lie in the sustainability aspects of design such as longevity, repair, second hand product exchange and small scale production. Currently, I am working on longevity of connected smart products and examines the strategies to extend their lifetime. Designing longevity might be possible context-based, situated, decision and the designers and related actors in-action-knowledge simultaneously. Thus, I am exploring the opportunities, limitations and conflicting factors while designing longer-lasting products based on connected sound products. Main goal of my PhD is initiating discussions on longevity and inspire designers to find their solutions.
