I am a researcher in English Linguistics with a special interest in semantics and word formation. My area of research is cognitive mechanisms behind lexical blends (e.g. 'brunch' and 'brexit').
I am a researcher in English Linguistics, and my main interests are Semantics and Word formation. My PhD project concerned lexical blending, i.e., the type of word formation process whereby (typically) two words are fused in a creative way resulting in expressions such as 'fantabulous' (fantastic + fabulous) and 'smog' (smoke + fog).
