As research coordinator focusing on analytics, I provide strategic and operational support by analyzing data on a.o. scientific productivity, funding applications and their approval rates.
I am research coordinator with a focus on analytics at the Research Support Office. As research coordinator I provide hands-on support to improve funding applications. In my analytical role, I provide strategic and operational support to the senior management of the university by analyzing data on for instance scientific productivity, funding applications and their approval rates.
I obtained my MSc degree in 2000 at the University of Oulu in Finland, and with a project grant from the Finnish Academy I completed my PhD studies there in 2004. In 2005 I came to Umeå University as assistant professor, and continued as researcher on grants from the Swedish research councils VR and Formas (future research leaders) and a young investigator award from Umeå University. Since 2011 I am docent in evolutionary biology at the Faculty of Science and Technology. As researcher, I have served as ad-hoc grant reviewer for a.o. ERC, NSF, and NERC, and as panel member for DFG (Germany).
When my external funding, and consequently also my position as researcher ended in 2017, I started working at the Research Support Office. I still work as researcher at the University of Oslo in Norway.
