I am a postdoc in environmental archaeology, combining ecological and palaeoecological approaches for the study of biodiversity changes
I am interested in understanding what processes influence biodiversity and species distribution. I am an ecologist and, in my current project, I study fossil insects to investigate how past changes in climate, environment and human activities have affected insect biodiversity through time, and how this relates to contemporary environmental changes and biodiversity trends.
I am involved in the integration of the Quaternary fossil data from the Strategic Environmental Archaeology Database (SEAD) with data of modern biodiversity, through the Swedish LifeWatch project and the Swedish Biodiversity Data Infrastructure (SBDI) initiative. The resulting data infrastructure aims at facilitating cross-disciplinary research on biodiversity.
