My research interest concerns early detection and rehabilitation of long-term spinal pain, particularly neck-shoulder pain. Better characterization of this patient group and development of effective treatment and prevention are important challenges. In order to develop valid instruments and assessment methods of long-term back- and neck pain, increased knowledge is needed about sensorimotor impairments and what they mean, about their associations with self-rated pain, symptoms and function. An interesting research question we try to answer is if typical impairments found are causes or consequences to the disorder. A further research interest is about how to reduce sedentary life and use the work place as an arena in order to increase physical activity and thereby prevent life style diseases and musculoskeletal pain.Close
