I am a postdoctoral researcher at Ellen Bushell lab. My project is focused on the characterization of the exportome of Plasmodium parasites, causative agents of malaria disease. Exported proteins are essential for the parasite to survive inside the host, therefore the study and characterization of these proteins is valuable to understand host-pathogen interactions and to develop better strategies to control the disease.
I am also working on the development of high-througput CRISPR-Cas9 screens to study Plasmodium genes at scale.
