PhD candidate in ecological entrepreneurship and sustainable food systems
In my doctoral research, I study the back-to-the-land movement, also known as the new green wave, which is a re-emerging phenomenon in Sweden and other countries of the global north. The study focuses on personal transitions to the land and their role in adoption of alternative farming and business practices. The dissertation contributes to formulating the agenda of critical entrepreneurship studies in the Anthropocene. It does so by putting forward the construct of ecological embedding, which emphasizes the importance of humans reconnecting with the rest of nature and place, as well as how such reconnection is daily negotiated within the growth capitalist economy.
My research interests include organizing in/after the Anthropocene, ecopreneurship, grassroots movements, degrowth, environmental philosophy and ecopsychology.
