Born in southern Sweden and raised in the northern mountain region of Sweden. Now living in Robertsfors, about 60 km north of Umeå.
I am trained as a toolmaker and have worked in the metalworking industry, in many different professional roles, for several years.
Before I started working at Umeå Institute of Design, I worked as a secondary school technology teacher for about 11 years. I have also worked as a part-time firefighter for about 10 years.
What I do at UID
As a lecturer in 3D techniques, I teach in 3D software such as SolidWorks, Rhino, Mesh Mixer, Netfabb and so on.
I also work with workshop education in the UID wood and metal workshops, this includes for example wood turning, vacuum forming, welding, metal turning and milling I also help out with the CAM preparation for CNC milling and 3D printing of files for UID students.
I am the fire safety delegate at Umeå Institute of Design, which means I have the responsibility to ensure that evacuation plans, and fire prevention plans are followed and updated, and that students and staff are continuously trained in fire protection and routines at the school.
