What do I do at the Department of Food Nutrition and Culinary Science?

I am a doctoral candidate in the subject of Food, Nutrition, and Meal Science since the autumn of 2018. I teach 20% of my time in the department's courses. I work part-time due to having young children at home.

Research

My doctoral project investigates what happens when dietetic treatment becomes digital via video calls compared to regular dietitian treatment with physical meetings. The project contains both quantitative and qualitative methods. My doctoral education is provided via the Industrial Doctoral School at Umeå University.

Teaching

I teach nutrition and public health within the Dietitian program, the Nutritionist program, the Gastronomy program, and Home and consumer economics.

Background

I am a registered dietitian. Before my employment at Umeå University, I worked as a dietitian in primary care in rural areas and as a research dietitian at the Centre of Rural Medicine.
