Catching-up

Do you have any courses offered by the Department of Informatics that you are falling behind on? Here, you can sign up for an upcoming re-exam if you have any unfinished courses.

A student who fails to obtain a pass result at the regular exam is entitled to the opportunity of a re-exam, normally arranged in close connection (not more than two months) to the current course.

Students who do not obtain a pass result after two examination attempts (regular exam and re-exam) are allowed to participate in three further resit examinations. In accordance with the rules for grades and examinations (in Swedish) within the undergraduate education at Umeå University, such a re-exam must be offered within a year from the regular exam.

At the Department of Informatics, re-exams for all informatics courses are organized twice a year - at the end of December, and in August (exact dates may vary between different courses). To take part in a re-exam period, registration is required via the form below. Once you have completed your application you will be placed in the next available re-exam period.

Please note that it is usually not possible to re-register for a course during regular semester time, in order to participate in additional regular examinations/tests. Thus, if you need a re-exam you should instead use the registration form below.

The last day to submit your application for the re-exam period in August is the 7th of June and the last day for the re-exam period in December is the 18th of November.

Only one course can be included in the application. If you wish to register for several courses, it will require several separate applications.
