Campus: The university consists of several campuses. The main campus, Wollongong Campus, is located by the coastline. The others are located in New South Wales, Sydney, and abroad in Dubai.
Student life: There are over 100 student clubs encompassing many areas of interest. The association International Student Programs connects students with people from all over the world offering opportunities to make new friends, develop skills, and create links to the local community.

UniActive is a fitness centre that houses a gym, basket, badminton, tennis and a squash court, as well as outdoor swimming pools.

The university has been ranked number 14 in the QS Top 50 Under 50 Rankings 2021 (a ranking for universities established less than 50 years ago).

About Wollongong

Wollongong, informally known as "The Gong", is a multicultural city located by one of the coastlines in New South Wales, about 1 ½ hour drive from Sydney. It is Australia's tenth largest city with 295 000 inhabitants. Wollongong is noted for being an industry city, as well as its port activity. Wollongong is situated alongside a narrow coastal plain between a chain of surf beaches and the cliffline of the rainforest-covered Illawarra escarpment. In the surrounding area there is a national park for outdoor activities.

Academic restrictions

Umeå students applying to Sydney Business School will, if accepted, attend University of Wollongong for approximately 3 months due to a trimester system. Consequently, full time studies are considered to be 18 credits and will be transferred as 22,5 hp.

Full-time studies (corresponding to 30 hp): 24 credits

Students can apply for housing by completing a separate housing application. Students who apply before the accommodation application deadline are guaranteed a place in University housing.

As the cost of living and accommodation may be higher abroad, you can apply for an extra loan known as an additional loan for studies abroad.
