Welcome aboard KBV 181!

On June 6 at 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., we welcome the public on board the newly renovated vessel KBV 181 in the Port of Umeå, Holmsund. The vessel is a unique environmental protection and research vessel used by both the Coast Guard and Umeå University in the Gulf of Bothnia. Step on board and see how we work with everything from sea rescue and oil harvesting to research and environmental monitoring. Welcome aboard!

Welcome aboard the research vessel KBV 181 on 6 June between 10 am and 3 pm.

During the day we offer:

- display of laboratories and sampling equipment

- short lectures on the status of our seas

- aquariums with animals from the surrounding waters

- information about the Coast Guard

- Coffee.

An opening ceremony will take place at 13.00.
