Research:
We study the properties of soft matter. Presently the work concerns water based systems, polymers, nanomaterials, and their mixed systems such as hydrogels, polymer nanocomposites and nano-colloids. A special feature of our studies is the use of pressure as a variable to investigate and modify the materials. Structural modifications and chemical reactions of materials under pressures lead to a variety of new phases and states.
