Registration will take part at the first lecture. It´s important to notify coursemanager or administrator if you cant show up at start otherwise maybe you loose your place.
Part 1. Tourism Geography perspectives on Social and Economic Geography (7.5 credits) This part gives an overview of several key research areas within social and economic geography and analyzes them from a tourism geographic perspective. In addition to research on rural and urban areas are perspectives on migration, mobility and local and regional economic development discussed. For each theme it is discussed how research can be applied and related to tourism geography. Questions asked are what tourism geography research can acquire from other geography research but also what the latter can learn from tourism geography. Thus tourism geography is positioned as an integral part of social and economic geography.
Part 2. Tourism Geography (7.5 credits) This part deals with tourism geography and its position within social and economic geography. It focuses on traditions of thought in tourism geography. Students are familiarized with key works and theories in tourism geography. Emphasis will be on tourism as an economic activity. This part also demonstrates debates around current issues in tourism research from critical perspectives. In addition to course literature participants are expected to immerse themselves in the tourism geographic theme that is chosen for the final degree project, or another theme that is of relevance for the thesis project.
Umu-id är ditt användarkonto. Det behöver du för att kunna registrera dig på utbildningen. När du är ny student får du automatiskt ett Umu-id, men du måste själv aktivera det för att det ska fungera.

När du är på något av våra campus kommer du behöva ett Umu-kort. Umu-kortet är personligt och fungerar som passerkort, kopieringskort och lånekort. Allt i ett. För att få tillgång till kortet måste du själv ansöka om det.

Sök det pedagogiska stöd du har rätt till på direkten. Då är det fixat när terminen börjar och du bara vill komma i gång med utbildningen.
Du kan få stöd om du till exempel har dyslexi, adhd eller nedsatt syn. Beroende på dina behov finns olika typer av stöd. Vanligt är att en får anteckningsstöd, längre skrivtid eller anpassning av sitt kursmaterial. Målet är helt enkelt att göra det lättare för dig att plugga på lika villkor.
Infocenter, möjligen de bästa vi har. De hjälper dig genom de första veckorna som ny student. Kanske behöver du hjälp med ditt Umu-id, att hitta rätt i lokalerna eller snabbt stämma av med en studievägledare? Och skulle de inte ha ett svar direkt, så vet de var och hur de vägleder dig vidare.
