Abrak Saati is an Associate Professor and researcher at the Department of Political Science. During 2021-2023 she is conducting research, together with Professor Torbjörn Bergman, in the project: ”Façade or Democracy in Kiribati, Vanuatu and São Tomé & Príncipe?” The Swedish Research Council funds this research project. Earlier in her career, Saati has been granted funding for an international post-doc. This, for the research project: "How can constitution-building processes in post-conflict states and in states in transition from authoritarian rule contribute to enhancing democracy?" The project was funded by the Swedish Research Council and was conducted 2017-2019, during which a considerable amount of her time was spent as a research fellow at the British Institute for International and Comparative Law in London. Saati has also conducted research within the research program “Varieties of Peace” (2017-2019).
