The American company Instructure provides the Canvas learning platform to thousands of colleges and universities worldwide; in Sweden, the system is used by over 30 universities and colleges. The attackers who breached the system threatened to leak data, such as personal information, outside the system.
Instructure now reports that an agreement has been reached with the attackers, who have consequently returned the data they obtained. Instructure assures that no personal data has been or will be disseminated further.
