Contents

The course covers principles and performance limits in digital communication. Special emphasis is given to methods for effective communication in noisy channels. The course includes concepts and methods in information theory, source coding, channel models and channel coding technology.
 

Required Knowledge

For admission to the course at least 60 ECTS (one year full time) courses in Electronics or 60 ECTS in Physics or equivalent knowledge are required.
Proficiency in English equivalent to Swedish upper Secondary course English A/5. Where the language of instruction is Swedish, applicants must prove proficiency in Swedish to the level required for basic eligibility for higher studies.
