Exchange programmes have different agreement owners

Agreements, whether part of an exchange programme or not, are always signed between two parties (agreement owners). These agreements can exist at the university, faculty, or departmental level. The agreement owner determines selection criteria, application deadlines, and other formalities. Since the application process varies depending on the agreement and circumstances, it is a good idea to check the practical details of your desired exchange destination early in your studies.

You should primarily use agreements linked to your programme. However, in many cases, it is possible to apply through an agreement from another department. For example, agreements from the Umeå School of Business, Economics Statistics can also be used by students in the Master of Science Programme in Industrial Engineering and Management.
