The University's websites uses cookies. Cookies are small text files that contain information about usage of a web site and are created and stored on your device when you visit our web site.
The cookies on umu.se are used to improve the site for you as a visitor:
We use Google Analytics to analyse visitor statistics at umu.se. We use this information as a basis for improving and developing the web site. Google Analytics creates cookies with information about the use of the site. That information is passed on and stored by Google, but the IP addresses are anonymized.
We also use the Siteimprove tool to analyse visitor flows. The information helps us to fix broken links and spelling errors on pages visited.
We have embedded videos from our Youtube channels on the site. When you play the movies, cookies are used by youtube.com.
If you do not want cookies stored on your computer, you can turn off the feature in the browser settings. However, this means that you may not be able to use some features of the site.
If you do not want your visits to umu.se to be included in our statistics in Google Analytics, you can also choose to install a so-called opt-out extension in your browser. If you install the plug-in, it applies to all websites you visit.
