Umeå University honours donors through a chandelier in the entrance to Aula Nordica.
ImageMattias PetterssonUmeå University wants to honour the University's donors with an installation in the form of a chandelier in the entrance to Aula Nordica.
The design of the light fixture is based on a leading architectural material and shape on campus: the brick. The installation's brick-shaped pendants, in translucent acrylic, give credit to the gift donors who over the years have contributed to building the University's research and education.
The chandelier will be updated annually with the names of new gift donors and the year of each donation.
