Contents
This course is comissioned education for employees at the SLU.
Equal opportunities are a central objective in the SLU organization. Equal opportunities mean that all employees, students and applicants shall feel welcome and experience equal opportunities regardless of sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, ethnicity, religion, other beliefs, or age. The course starts with an introduction to the relevant legislation, the internal governing documents of SLU, and the values for SLU. Further, the course gives an introduction to master suppression techniques, affirmative techniques, and strategies to counter discriminating situations.
Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the course the students shall:
Be familiar with the relevant legislation for equal opportunities Be familiar with, and understand, the relevant SLU governing documents Be familiar with, and understand, SLU values Be familiar with, and understand, master suppression techniques, affirmative techniques and counter strategies
Required Knowledge
Required knowledge is decided by SLU.
Form of instruction
The course is taught in English, is given with flexible speed, and entirely through an Electronic Learning Management System (ELMS). The ELMS is where the student takes part of lectures, quiz and assignments. The participants submit assignments and receive feedback through the ELMS.
Examination modes
Examination takes place through fulfillment of two parts:
1. Completed assignments 2. Completed quiz
The examination is in total the completion of the individual quiz and the individual written assignments. For the two parts the grades are Fail (U) or Pass (G). For the entire course, the grades are Fail (U) or Pass (G). The grade for the entire course is set only when parts 1 and 2 are completed. If there are special circumstances the examiner can decide on a different examination mode.
