Contents
The course focus is on threats to biodiversity at different scales caused by human resource use. The students learn how to apply theory in ecology, biogeography and genetics to design measures to conserve and restore damaged ecosystems. The students are trained to evaluate conservation and restoration projects, and to do inventories of natural habitats. The course ends with an excursion where they work with problems and methods of species conservation in habitats typical of northern Sweden.
Required Knowledge
60 ECTS Biology, including 15 ECTS Ecology.
