In this course various processes for the production of renewable fuels for transport are discussed in detail. The production, distribution and use of ethanol, biogas and fuels based on synthetic gas (like FT-diesel) are included Calculations of material and energy balances for all various chemical and technical process steps are included.
The aspects of economy and environmental effects of renewable contra fossil transport fuels are discussed.

Univ: Thermodynamics for Biofuels, 7.5 ECTS, Fuels, 7.5 ECTS, and Combustion, gasification and pyrolysis,7.5 ECTS or equal.
