Undervisningen bedrivs i form av lektions- och gruppundervisning samt handledning i samband med laborationer, grupparbeten och projektarbeten. Lektionsundervisningen ägnas åt genomgång av vissa teoriavsnitt, problemlösning och demonstrationer. Experimentellt arbete utgör ett fundamentalt inslag i kursen.
