Contents
The goal is that the student shall obtain basic knowledge in the area of medicinal chemistry. This includes knowledge in interactions between low molecular weight compounds and proteins, DNA, and RNA, and methods for identification, design, synthesis, and evaluation of drug candidates.
Required Knowledge
Bioorganic Chemistry (15 ECTS, 5KE010/5KE011)and Biochemistry (15 ECTS 5KE020/75) or the equivalent.
English proficiency equivalent to IELTS Academic Training - miniumum score 5.0 with no individual score below 4.5 (test taken before January 2005 not admissible), or TOEFL - minimum score 500 on paper based test and not below 4.0 on the TWE, alternatively 173 on computer based test with iBT61 is also reguired as well as basic entrance requirements for higher studies in Swedish language proficiency if the course is taught in Swedish.
