The course will give advanced knowledge in genetics and molecular genetics and illustrate how this knowledge is used for analysis of expression and function of gene products. The course also offers training in evaluating scientific data and in studying and discussing scientific literature.
Required Knowledge
Proficiency in English equivalent to Swedish upper secondary course English B.Additional requirements are: Thirty ECTS-credits in Chemistry, with a minimum of 7,5 ECTS-credits in Biochemistry; 45 ECTS-credits in Life Sciences, including a minimum of 7.5 ECTS-credits in Genetics and in total a minimum of 22.5 ECTS-credits in Microbiology, Plant- and Animal Physiology, and Cell- and Molecular Biology; and practical experience of laboratory work, corresponding to a minimum of 30 ECTS-credits.
