Connecting people, ideas and opportunities in the Arctic

How is resilience actually built in Arctic and northern communities - and what role do local actors and civil society play?

Welcome to this Arctic Connect lunch session featuring a guest contribution from Veronika Strandh, who will share insights from her work on resilience in rural areas.

Her talk will explore how resilience emerges in practice through local communities, informal structures and civil society, and what this means in an Arctic context shaped by demographic change, distance and shifting policy priorities.

The session will be followed by an open discussion connecting these perspectives to ongoing research, policy and collaboration within the Arctic field.

You will also have the opportunity to meet fellow researchers, hear about upcoming calls and partnerships, and get updates from the Arctic Centre’s horizon scanning.
