Fri

Time Friday 4 June, 2021 at 12:15 - 13:00
Place Online via Zoom

In a world where AI is prominent in the everyday life it is important to develop models that endow such AI with social skills, to understand the social reality and interact socially with people. This is particularly crucial if the AI system takes an explicit role as a social actor in the context of interaction, such as a teammate. During the presentation we'll  discuss how concepts of social importance, social power and social identity are relevant to the problem and how to model them. A few examples of use of social competent AI in games and Human-Robot Interaction will be presented. Finally, the discussion will end with some emergent applications of social AI to predict and test User Experience (UX) in interactive systems in order to automate UX testing.
