Embase - an introduction

The presentation will give you an overview of the biomedical database Embase. We will provide a basic overview of the user interface and how to get started with searching for articles. This is what we will be covering:

• The various search interfaces, eg Quick, PICO, Medical device, Advanced and Drug.
• A comparison of the publication overlap between Embase and PubMed.
• Filters and functions in the search and result interface.
• How you find and use subject terms in Emtree.

Target group

Students and employees at Umeå university. The course will be held in English.
