Research data are vital when performing research. Managing your data correctly impacts both the credibility of the research but also protects the research subjects. It is also important so that you and others can access the data when needed.
Managing research data is impacted by several laws that you must abide. After this course, you will have basic understanding of, and tools for, how to manage your data in a safe and legally correct way. Focus will be on information security as the tool for a structured process. You will receive practical advice on how you need to work to fulfil the legal demands that apply to research data.
This course is led by legal officers and aims to give you a basic understanding of, and tools for, how to handle research data securely.
This course is aimed at researchers, doctoral students and other staff members who manage or administer research data.
The course is held in English. A corresponding course is held in Swedish on 23 September.
Research data are all data that you produce or collect within your research, including data from measurements, statistics or material from interviews. You need to manage research data in every stage of the research process.
