Stress Response Modeling at IceLab is currently hosting visiting researcher Kim Sneppen, Professor, Biocomplexity, Niels Bohr Institute, University of Copenhagen. Kim is the author of the textbook 'Models of Life'. His work focuses on statistical mechanics to explore biological diversity and competition, significantly advancing the understanding of epigenetics, ecosystem dynamics, and disease-immune system interactions.
Please join us in IceLab for a special seminar with Kim Sneppen on developing and using simple models to understand biodiversity. This talk will be open and accessible to everyone, regardless of prior knowledge of mathematical and computational models.
Drop in to IceLab (find using mazemap) or join via Zoom: IceLab Living Room Zoom 612 568 7586
Professor Kim Sneppen specializes in complex systems and biophysics, covering everything from microbiology to population dynamics. He led the Center for Models of Life from 2005-2015 and has been a Danish Royal Academy of Sciences member since 2006.
