Place Social Sciences Building, Lecture Hall A

A warming climate is considered one of the most severe threats to global health. Joacim Rocklöv uses various mathematical models and climate scenarios to study how climate-sensitive infectious diseases – such as dengue and Zika – can spread to new geographical areas. By linking huge amounts of data, he is examining the predictability – and hence also the ability to warn and prevent – outbreaks of dangerous infectious diseases.

Joacim Rocklöv will be installed as a professor of epidemiology and public health at the Annual Celebration Ceremony on 20 October at 17:00 in Aula Nordica.
