SheCitizen: The Origins of Women’s Social Citizenship in Advanced Capitalist Countries
Keonhi Son will be presenting her research focused on the project SheCitizen: The Origins of Women’s Social Citizenship in Advanced Capitalist Countries. The SheCitizen project seeks to analyze the impact of female parliamentarians on the emergence of women’s social citizenship. Its research design spans 21 advanced capitalist countries over more than a century from 1850 to 1980.
The talk will thus span the intersection between political representation, social policy and gender relations, which I think will be of rather broad interest to many in the department and elsewhere. Feel free to share the invitation!
