Welcome to Umeå University Swap Day. Bring books and clothes you no longer use and exchange them for something new. The Swap Day gives students and staff the opportunity to refresh their bookshelves and wardrobes by swapping with one another.
Bring books and clothing items during the designated drop-off times before the Swap Day. For each book or clothing item you donate, you will receive a ticket. When the Swap Day opens, you can return and use your tickets. A book ticket can be exchanged for a book, and a clothing ticket can be exchanged for a clothing item. You may donate up to 10 books and 10 clothing items per person.
Clothes and books can primarily be dropped off at the Umeå Student Union office on 14 September between 09:30 – 15:00. Drop-off will also be open on 15 September between 08:30 – 09:30 at Tryggheten in the Social Sciences Building. We only accept clothes that are clean and in good condition. Books and clothes that have been donated cannot be returned, and any remaining items will be donated.
The event is organised by Umeå University, the Umeå Student Union, and NTK as part of SEE Sustainability Week, and aims to create opportunities for reuse through swapping, sharing, and reusing.
