The purpose of the award is to encourage employees and students at the Faculty of Medicine to work for equal opportunities within the faculty. The award is given to an individual, employee or student, or a group of employees/students at the faculty. Nominate by October 31, 2024.
Equal opportunities is a broad concept for work aimed at promoting everyone’s equal rights and opportunities and combating discrimination based on gender, gender identity or expression, ethnic origin, religion or belief, disability, sexual orientation, and age. The concept also includes the task of gender mainstreaming.
The award recipient(s) should have made a significant contribution to the promotion of equal opportunities within the faculty/university. Examples of such contributions include:
Spreading knowledge about equal opportunities issues among employees and students.
Exercising leadership that promotes equal opportunities.
Efforts to combat discrimination among employees and students.
Applying norm-critical teaching and/or research.
Efforts to promote gender equality among employees and students.
Efforts to promote recruitment on equal terms.
Efforts to promote broader participation in education.
For a fair assessment, the nomination must consist of a justification of approximately 200 words that relates to several of the above points. All employees and students at the faculty can nominate award recipients. The decision on who will receive the award is made by an award committee consisting of the equal opportunities working group at the Faculty of Medicine.
Prize amount: 15,000 SEK.
