Analytics of Digital Trace Data in Innovation Processes
How can data generated online from activities of firms and users lead to innovation? In the project we explore the role of digital traces in digital innovation
Digitalization of the society enables firms to distribute their products through digital platforms, interact on social media with customers, facilitates creation of online user communities. In places of high interactivity – such as social media, user forums, knowledge exchange platforms – firms and individuals generate increasingly growing volumes of digital trace data. In our project we study these contexts and applying computational quantitative and qualitative methods explore how digital trace data may lead to creation of new products, services, and processes enabled by the digital technology.
