Research project
People tend to settle in an occupation, and occupations differ vastly in demands, salary, and working conditions, amongst other things. Occupational paths depend on individual abilities and preferences, but also on opportunities and chance. Here, we examine how much of this variation is explained by individual differences in psychological traits such as intelligence and personality dimensions.
