Scandinavianism and the school during the 19th century

PhD project This research project studies the role of Scandinavianism in the 19th century school system in Sweden, Norway and Denmark.

The 19th century school had an important role in the formation of the nation in the Scandinavian countries. In addition to the nationalism of the three areas, the idea of a united Scandinavia existed: Scandinavianism. This project aims to study the role that Scandinavianism may have had as a rival nationalistic thought and idea within the Swedish, Norwegian and Danish school systems during the 19th century.
