I have an academic background in Civil Engineering and Sustainable Destination Development and practical experience of Project Management in public and non-profit cultural sector.
My research interests include Sustainable Entrepreneurship with focus on the role of small and medium-sized enterprises, grassroots and non-profit organizations in local and regional development.
For my PhD thesis, I am working on the project about Community Entrepreneurship in the rural Arctic. In my research, I investigate the role of community enterprises in addressing social exclusion in rural peripheries of Northern Sweden. By means of my research, I aim to advance the knowledge about bottom-up approaches to local development in the face of grand challenges and facilitate the discussion towards more inclusive and socially sustainable development in rural peripheries.
