Student studios

Full-time UID students have individual study places in open office studios, equipped with desks, chairs, storage, shelves, and desk lamps. Studios also have social areas and some include teaching spaces.

UID has four studios, with space allocation revised yearly based on student numbers and curriculum needs.

Studio culture

  • Maintain a focused, collaborative atmosphere.
  • Speak quietly and use headphones.
  • Hold phone conversations outside the studio.
  • Do group work elsewhere.
  • Keep cables tidy and dispose of waste properly.
  • Eat meals in designated areas.
  • Store items properly and coat foam models before bringing them in.
