The course will start on Thursday the 3rd of December. The morning session of this day is devoted to an overview of the course Health Economic Evaluation Methods (part of our Master’s programme). The overview is targeting those of you who have not taken the Master’s programme course or a similar course, but you are all recommended to come!

There will be two full weeks of teaching before New Year and two days for presentation of a home assignment after New Year. The full schedule of the course is attached to the welcome letter. All of the lectures will be held at the department.

The examination consists of two parts, an individual home assignment and a written exam. Both examinations must be graded as at least Pass to Pass the course. The grade Pass with distinction is determined by the written exam (this grade is required for it). During the end of the course the home assignment is presented at a seminar, where a model for calculating incremental cost-effectiveness ratios is needed.

The compulsory course literature is:

You are allowed to bring the book with you and use during the written exam. However, it will not be provided in the exam hall to a student who does not have a book of his or hers own.

Additional material, in form of e.g. articles, will be provided by the department throughout the course.
