When is the best time to go and where can you go?
- Contact your international contact person or your study councellor to find out when is the best time to go on Erasmus traineeship.
Find a suitable host organisation
Your international contact person may have contacts to organisations, otherwise you must find your host organisation yourself.
When you apply
Make your application in Solemove!
- Start the process early!
- You need to have a host organisation and dates for the traineeship all set before submitting an application.
- Read all information and Apply to Erasmus traineeship.
- Send in your application on Solemove at least 2 months before departure.
Frequently asked questions
Can I get help finding a host organisation?
Your international contact person at the department/programme sometimes has a list of organisations where students previously have done a traineeship. Otherwise you need to find an organisation that is relevant for you in your studies. Administrators of the Erasmus scholarship cannot help you find a suitable organisation.
Can I get a scholarship?

Is there any support for me with a disability for studies abroad?
If you have been granted support for a disability while attending Umeå University, you can also receive similar support to study abroad, for example extra funding.
