Everyday case
Piece of mind
Medication non-adherance - experts call it a mayor societal problem, as over 50% of all people have troubles taking their medication - not only but mostly due to stress and forgetfulness. Current smart solutions are mostly aimed at managing complex medication schedules with up to 10 different medications. Therefor most of them are big stationary dispensers at home, which often get managed by a relative of the patient or a caretaker. My project Piece of Mind, caters more towards younger generations, who need a mobile solution, that reminds them and tracks their medication. Also helping release the stress and anxiety, caused by needing to think about your medication every single day. Piece of Mind offers two different sized Companion Cases for different use cases. The bigger Everyday Case features a simple patent pending medication tracking solution, developed together with Alexander Humer, a professor for technical mechanics. To make sure your Companion Case and therefore your medication is always with you, both cases feature a magnetic mounting point for the indicator pin. The pin uses a magnetic color changing film to discretely show the user if the medication is in the bag that they are about to take out the door.
