Propose a session

Call for proposals for sessions

Registration is now open for session proposals for FEKIS 2027 in Umeå. This year's theme is: Business administration as a social force: how do we shape the future?

We create FEKIS, the Business Administration subject conference together, and your contributions form an important part of our joint discussion and dissemination of knowledge.

You are therefore very welcome to submit your proposed sessions to fekis2027.usbe@umu.se

The deadline for submitting proposals for sessions is April 1st 2027.

The proposal must contain the following information (maximum one A4 page):

  • Title
  • Type of session (presentation, panel, workshop/roundtable discussion or other)
  • Language (Swedish or English)
  • Desired time required (45/60 minutes recommended)
  • Who will lead the session (including higher education institutions) and any confirmed participants/panelists (including higher education institutions). We would like to see session leaders representing different higher education institutions.
  • A brief description of the content, intended insights, and benefits for participants/audience. This should be able to be used as a session abstract in the conference program

Session format

We encourage creative formats. Feel free to suggest activities.

Otherwise, the following conference activities are proposed:

Presentation: Normally 2-4 people who present relevant research, pedagogical methods or something else that is relevant to the business administration subject and we welcome that they relate to the overall theme of the conference. The audience should be involved by being given space to ask questions and participate in the discussion.

Panel: Panel discussion on a given topic. A panel is preferably led by a moderator and has a number of panelists (researchers or practitioners) who contribute with their perspectives on the topic. The audience should be involved by being given space to ask questions and give comments.

Workshops and roundtables: Workshops and roundtables are based on interaction with the participants/audience. The moderator, who can be one or more, leads practical exercises or interactive discussions that can also involve division into smaller discussion groups.

If you have other suggestions for activities, do not hesitate to contact us.
