Umeå is closer than you think. We recommend that you book well in advance.

From Stockholm Arlanda it takes less than an hour by plane. Umeå Airport is only about 15 minutes by bus from central Umeå, or 10 minutes by taxi to the university.

Trains from Stockholm to Umeå take about 6.5 hours and depart several times a day. If you arrive by train, you either get off at Umeå C or at Umeå Östra (close to campus).

There are several good hotels in central Umeå within a radius of a few hundred meters from each other and close to the bus to get between the city (Vasaplan) and campus. Otherwise, much is within walking distance.
