Preparations

There is a lot to do when starting up a project. You can book a meeting with research administration support, and we will meet twice for an hour at a time to help you get everything in place.

All projects must have an information classification: Guide to classifying information

A risk and vulnerability analysis must be carried out for all projects: Guide to carrying out a risk analysis

All projects must have a data management plan: DMPonline (umu.se)

All processing of personal data must be reported to the University: Data protection officer report (in Swedish)

All projects must be presented on the University’s website: Research projects on the website – (template in Swedish)

All projects must have a reference code in the register so that we can keep track of all material. Elin can help with this.

All documents must be recorded in accordance with the document management plan. Elin can help with this.

If an ethics application is to be made, suggested wording can be found here: Tips for formulating ethical review applications (in Swedish)

As soon as someone outside the University will process our personal data, a data processing agreement (DPA) is needed. You should then contact the legal officers: pulo@umu.se
