Conferences and Research Meetings

In addition to international co-operation, employees at the newly formed Department of Psychology during the year 2000 also travelled nationally and internationally to scientific conferences and research meetings. Such activities were always considered a priority both by the Department of Psychology and the old Department of Applied Psychology for developing and maintaining high quality research and educational programs. Thus, as the new department was formed and a new millennium was starting, it is perhaps particularly interesting to look at the status of such international connections during this pivotal transition.

Using information collected from departmental documents, such as research programs and applications, and from interviews with departmental researchers, we have put together a picture of the department´s international visits on conferences during the first five years after the merger of the two departments.
