Contents
The course provides extended knowledge of ecological processes in subarctic-alpine ecosystems. Focus is on the importance of abiotic and biotic factors, as nutrients, climate and organism interactions, for the ecosystem function. The course deals with changes in terrestrial and aquatic ecological processes the last 10,000 years and possible effects by future climate change. Excursions to different ecosystems are included. The course is given by researchers at CIRC, and is located to Abisko.
Required Knowledge
60 ECTS Biology, including 30 ECTS Ecology.
