Umeå University has been a member of the Academic Collaboration Chile Sweden (ACCESS 3.0) network since autumn 2024. ACCESS aims to strengthen research collaboration between Sweden and Chile through interdisciplinary cooperation and academic exchange. The network consists of seven Swedish and eight Chilean universities.
ACCESS promotes collaborative research addressing global challenges through thematic focus areas linked to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Researchers from all disciplines are invited to apply for participation in the ACCESS Forum 2027, which will take place 14-18 June 2027 in Gothenburg, Sweden, hosted by the University of Gothenburg.
The forum brings together researchers from Sweden and Chile to develop new collaborations, strengthen existing partnerships, and address global sustainability challenges through interdisciplinary research themes.

Researchers employed at an ACCESS member university are given priority. Due to limited capacity, participation is competitive and cannot be guaranteed, even if applicants have their own funding.
To participate in the ACCESS Forum 2027, applicants must submit their application no later than 1 November 2026.
