Lecture by researcher Natuschka Lee – Astro Ecology - Ecological visions to its utmost point
Welcome to a public Sunday lecture by Natuschka Lee, Department of Ecology and Environmental Science, Umeå University. This event is a part of the programme in conjunction to Bildmuseet’s exhibition Eco-Visionaries. Free admission. Lecture language: Swedish.
Natuschka Lee’s research interest is focused in how microbes interact and evolve with the bio- and the geospheres on Earth, and how this knowledge can expand our understanding of the biodiversity, ecology and principles of life and our possibilities to develop a sustainable and healthy existence, on Earth as well as where possible elsewhere in the universe. At Bildmuseet she will talk about her research and especially the project Pollinating insects where the goal is to perform research and support ongoing efforts on protecting threatened insects, such as the Nordic honeybee.
A programme of open lectures, seminars and film screening is offered in conjunction to the exhibition, of which this event is a part.
